 Aren't we so lucky??! ^^

 여기 있는 모든 나무들이 오늘 이날을 기뻐하는 것 같아요~

* 생육형과 국명, 학명, 과명, 원산지, 개화기, 분포지 등 다양한 방식으로 검색이 가능하며 산림청과 한국식물분류학회가 공동으로 확정한 「국가표준식물목록」에서 제공하고 있는 정명(正名)과 이명(異名)관계의 정보를 함께 제공.

* PDBK의 목적은 식물학과 관련된 분야의 연구를 돕기 위한 기반 연구과제로 식물의DNA를 추출·정제하여 보관함으로써 식물학의 여러 연구 분야에서 효율적으로 사용토록 하는 것이다. 어느 특정 종의 DNA 보다는 모든 가능한 식물 종의 DNA를 있는 그대로 추출하여 보관하는 것이다. 이는 mRNA로부터 합성한 특정종의 cDNA 은행과 다르며, genomic DNA를 의미한다. PDBK는 고려대 생명공학원 김기중 교수가 고려대 식물표본관(KUS)와 연계하여 운용되는 site.

  PLANTS includes names, plant symbols, checklists, distributional data, species abstracts, characteristics, images, crop information, automated tools, onward Web links, and references.
 

Although the information provided by PLANTS primarily promotes land conservation in the US(for the DB is a collaborative effort of the USDA NRCS, NPDC), they are encouraged to use in academic, educational, and general practices or applications.

  The most predominent feature about this DB is the IMAGE Gallery which provides over 30.000 plant images !
 You can search them by the plant's name, symbol, family, category, duration, growth habbits and by image type, copy right status, image location and more.

 There is also a Submit page to upload your digital images if they meet the certain criteria.
 PLANTS also provides useful resources such as 'fact sheets', 'plant guides' and so much more.

[Books & Reference] 오늘의 작가 : 이유미

 <작가 소개>
 1962년 서울 출생으로 서울대학교 산림자원학과를 졸업하고 같은 대학원에서 박사학위를 받았다. 국가표준식물목록, 양치식물 재정리 등 여러 연구 프로젝트에 참여하였으며, 현재 국립수목원 생물표본연구실장으로 있으며, 문화재 전문위원이다.
 서울대 산림자원학과 81년도 입학동기인 서민환(마르코, 41, 서울대교구 화정동본당) 국립환경연구원 연구관과 부부인 이들은 '숲박사 부부'로 알려져있다.

우리 나라에 자생하는 나무는 물론 오래전에 들어와 우리 나무처럼 된 나무 중 백 가지를 골라, 생생한 컬러 사진, 이름의 유래, 생태, 용도, 분포지, 각 나무에 대한 우리 민족의 정서, 전해 오는 이야기 등 나무에 관한 모든 것을 수록한 책이다. 1995년에 출간된 『우리가 정말 알아야 할 우리 나무 백가지』를 10년만에 개정하여 출간한 책으로 지은이가 10여 년 넘게 쌓아 온 연구 성과와 나무에 대한 지극한 사랑을 곳곳에서 느낄 수 있다. 풀과 나무들의 생생한 컬러사진이 수록되어 있어 우리 나라의 나무와 자연이 얼마나 아름답고 소중한지를 다시한 번 일깨워주는 책이 될 것이며, 곁에 두고 있으면서 나무도감이나 백과로도 활용할 수 있을 것이다.  <출처>
